Privacy Policy

Visitors

Browsing the directory requires no account. When you click through to a business website, we count that click so we can tell the advertiser how their placement performed. We store a count, not a profile. A short-lived cookie stops the same visitor being counted twice in a day, and known automated traffic is filtered out.

We do not sell visitor data, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Advertisers

To sell placement we hold:

• Your name, email address and business details
• Your bids, placements and billing history
• Performance figures for your placement, such as clicks

Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers. Stripe processes payments on our behalf and holds the payment information that goes with that. See Stripe's own privacy policy for what they retain.

Business listings

The directory includes businesses that have no relationship with us. Names, addresses, categories, aggregate ratings and review counts come from the Google Places API. We store the rating and the number of reviews. We do not store review text.

If you own a business and want its listing corrected or removed, email us and we will do it.

Who we share with

Our payment processor (Stripe), our hosting and database providers, and nobody else. We do not sell personal data. We disclose data if the law requires it.

Your choices

Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@horizonwestguide.com. We keep advertiser billing records for as long as tax and accounting rules require, and delete the rest on request.
