What we provide

Horizon West Guide operates a business directory for Horizon West, Florida. We sell advertising placement: a labelled slot above the organic listings on a page of the directory. This is a digital service. There are no physical goods and nothing is shipped.

How placement is priced

Placement is sold by open auction. A bid is a whole-dollar monthly rate at or above the entry price for that category, which ranges from $25 to $100 per month. Slots are ordered by bid, highest first. Every bid and every price is public.

A higher bid from another business can displace you at any time. If that happens, your placement moves to whatever slot your bid earns, or off the board if it earns none. Your billing adjusts at the next monthly cycle.

Billing

Placement is a recurring monthly subscription, processed by Stripe. You are billed the amount of your bid, each month, on the date you started, for as long as you hold the slot. There is no setup fee and no minimum term.

Raising your own bid takes effect immediately and is prorated for the remainder of the current month. Moving to a lower-priced slot takes effect at the next cycle, never mid-cycle.

A subscription is what claims a slot. An unpaid bid never appears on the site. If a payment fails, we will retry it and notify you. Placement is removed if payment remains unresolved.

Cancellation

Cancel at any time, from your account or by emailing hello@horizonwestguide.com. Cancellation stops the next renewal. Your placement remains live until the end of the month you have already paid for, and is then removed.

Refunds

We do not prorate refunds for a cancelled month, because the placement was delivered for that period. If we fail to deliver the placement you paid for, through an outage, a billing error, or our own mistake, we refund that month in full. Email us and we will resolve it.

What we do not sell

The organic ranking of the directory. That is computed from public data using a published formula. Buying placement does not change it, and no payment will change it. Any claim otherwise is not something we offer.

Who may advertise

Advertisers must be real businesses operating in or serving the Horizon West area, and may only bid in categories they genuinely operate in. We may decline or remove a listing that is misleading, unlawful, or unrelated to the category it bids in.

Listings and data

The directory includes businesses that have not purchased anything. Business names, addresses, categories and aggregate ratings come from the Google Places API. We do not store review text. If you own a business and want its listing corrected or removed, email us.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects an active advertiser, we will give notice by email before it takes effect for them.
